Chef the City : New restaurant at Uttara
  Untitled Document
Uttara is the fastest growing suburb of Dhaka city. Thus it has seen a deluge of malls, restaurants and other establishments flooding the vicinity in the last few years. Different types of restaurants serving food from different corners of the world have enriched the Uttara skyline in recent times.
The latest food joint is Chef the City. This is a large restaurant that spreads over three floors and has a huge banquet hall.
The restaurant is a specialty place for different types of kababs, especially seafood grills. Alongwith their grilled fare, they also serve authentic Thai cuisine.
The place is a modern boutique restaurant, equipped with a lot of up-to-date accessories. The restaurant at the top floor has a large open air barbeque, where every evening there is a huge spread of hot and spicy kababs and tandoors prepared to cater to the guests' needs. The restaurant has a sizzling barbecue, coupled with chef's kabab and tandoori. There is also a treasure of Indian cuisine - where one taste good Indian food.
The top floor restaurant is large enough to accommodate more than 100 guests. The open air barbeque can host 90 guests. The restuarant, which is at level 6, is smartly done up in shades of beige and coffee. As it is at the top floor, lots of natural light flows in.
The banquet hall is its stellar point. The hall spans across two floors and has a capacity of 800 guests - quite a large number for any privately owned restaurant. The banquet hall can serve as a venue for large family functions such as gaye holuds, weddings, and birthdays, and also for corporate programmes and large scale cultural events.
Chef the City opened towards the end of October and currently offers a discount on its different cuisines - which will continue up to January 2013. The restaurant has a playpen tucked in at one corner of the roof. This is an added attraction for the kids. They can keep themselves while the rest of the family enjoys a meal, against a backdrop of the city skyline.
Chef the City is located at Sector 4, Road 13, Uttara - opposite Rajlakshi Complex and behind Diabetic Hospital. It is open during lunch and dinner - all set with a la carte menu and a variety of set menus. To enjoy food, having the entire city skyline as the prime surrounding - then this is definitely the place!
