  Sri Lanka welcomes 950,000th tourist

Colombo : Sri Lanka welcomed the 950,000th tourist at Bandaranaike Inter-national Airport on December 18 at a special ceremony.
Krzysztof Kujawa and Agata Dziekn, who landed from Poland Enter Airlines Flight No 1293/1294, were warmly welcomed by Udayanga Weerathunga, Sri Lankan Ambassador to Russia, Rumy Jauffer, Managing Director, SLTPB, S Shanthi Kumar, Vice President of Sri Lanka Tourist Hoteliers Association and Mervin Fernandopulle, Past President of Association of Small and Medium Enterprises.
Kujawa and Dziekn were given special gifts. Their next stay in Sri Lanka will be absolutely free.
Agata Dziekn from Polland, a graphic designer by profession, said, "Seeing the beauty of Sri Lanka on the internet I decided to visit here to spend the holiday. I'm very happy to be the 950,000th tourist to visit Sri Lanka this year. I am really surprised by your warm welcome and the gifts."
