  ISESCO Prize for Literacy 2012 handed over to DAM

Dhaka : Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) organised ISESCO Prize for Literacy 2012 handing over ceremony at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) Auditorium in the city at 3 pm on December 26.
Nurul Islam Nahid, Education Minister, handed over the prize to Kazi Rafiqul Alam, Pre-sident, Dhaka Ahsania Mission. MM Shafiullah, AUST Vice-Chancellor, presided over the ceremony while MM Niazuddin, Acting Secretary, Ministry of Primary and Mass Education was present as special guest. Abu Hena Morshed Zaman, Secretary, BNCU delivered the speech as honour and Dr. M Ehsanur Rahman, Executive Director, DAM the welcome address.
Islamic Education, Science and Cultural Organisation (ISESCO)-Morocco has awarded Dhaka Ahsania Mission ISESCO Prize for Literacy-2012 for its outstanding contribution specially in the field of literacy. Recently, the award has been handed over to Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid at the meeting of ISESCO Executive Committee in Saudi Arabia.
ISESCO literacy prize is given bi-annually. The announcement for this award was made on August 29 this year by the ISESCO.
