  NOVOAIR likely to start operations by mid-January

Dhaka : NOVOAIR, the newest private sector airline of the country, will start operations by the middle of January.
This was stated by Faiz Khan, Chairman, NOVOAIR, while talking to this correspondent at a dinner arranged in honour of the media representatives in the city recently.
"Initially the airline will operate to three destinations - Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Sylhet and Jessore. There will be two flights a day to Chittagong and one flight daily to the other two destinations," Faiz Khan said.
Chairman, NOVOAIR informed that while launching the airline, they are putting a great deal of emphasis on compliance and planning as these two are the most important aspects of operation of any airline.
"NOVOAIR will adhere to all compliance related issues of CAAB and ICAO and conduct operations after proper planning," he said.
The two Embraer EMB-145s, configured in 49 Economy Class seats, are already in Dhaka. The airline has obtained all regulatory clearances and will conduct route test flights to the four domestic destinations shortly.
EMB-145 aircraft is designed to carry 49 passengers up to a distance of 2,500 km. With the most reliable engines of Rolls Royce, the aircraft will provide passengers the fastest means of travel between destinations. US-based aircraft interior design company, C&D Interiors designed the cabin of the aircraft.
To ensure safety, the two aircraft are fitted with Honeywell Primus 1000 digital avionics suite with dual digital air data computers, dual attitude heading reference system (AHRS), terrain collision avoidance system (TCAS), ground proximity warning system (GPWS) and Global Positioning System (GPS). It is capable of landing in extreme inclement weather without compromising the safety of passenger and flight. It is proven to be safest, reliable and comfortable aircraft in its category.
NOVOAIR started its journey in the year 2007 with a vision of "Excellence in Aviation" and long term aim to establish an airline. Since then the company remained engaged in multiple facets of aviation services like representing China Southern Airline and Tiger Airways, Singapore as GSA for Bangladesh Territory. The company also provides airport service for both the airlines.
The airline is going to introduce Self-Service Web and Kiosk, E-Payment Facilities, Frequent Flyer programme, Valet Assistance Services etc. NOVOAIR will utilise "NOVOSYS" computerised reservation system, its in-house product."
