Dhaka : A number of restaurants have sprung up in the city over these years but our patrons have not left us. Rather the number of our diners has increased. We have remained their favourite restaurant.
Munjur-E-Khuda (Arif), Group General Manager, Restaurant Bāton Rouge, said this while disclosing to The Bangla-desh Monitor that the famous eatery has stepped into its seventh year of service.
Bāton Rouge offers different tastes on different days with the whole menu changing every three months. Perhaps this is our strength, he said.
"A sizable number of our guests have been from the corporate sector. Families and walk-in guests constitute an equal number, almost 50:50," he said and thanked the patrons of the restaurant for the support and hoped it would continue in the days ahead.
"Restaurant Bāton Rouge has added Dosa and Tawa Corner and Pasta Trolley. Diners are always eager to try these three live stations, available both during lunch and dinner," Munjur-E-Khuda said.
"If you want to enjoy Rony R Rozario's Chef's Special available every evening, you'll have to not only make a booking earlier but also be present from 8 pm to 10 pm in the evening. The items, that are rotated, finish off very quickly," the GGM said.
The restaurant, which stepped into its seventh year of service on April 11, will be celebrating the milestone through the holding of a grand raffle draw in October. Raffle prizes include LCD television, deep fridge, oven and other gifts.
The owners have a plan to open a similar restaurant, located on top two floors of their hotel in Chittagong in the near future.
